Probate and Trust Law

Gravel and Shea has dfecades of experience in the area of probate and trust laws. Lawyers in this group have:

  • Served as Judges of the Probate Court.
  • Practiced in the area for more than 60 combined years.
  • Served on uniform laws commissions dealing with the Uniform Probate Code and similar enactments.
  • Written treatises for national publication on probate and estate administration.

Our Probate and Trust Law group handles all phases of probate and estate administration from opening the estate, assisting executors in preparing inventories, dealing with creditors, filing Federal and Vermont Estate Tax Returns, and coordinating estate and trust income tax returns with accountants. At the same time, this group also engages in post-death estate planning to lessen the impact of future estate taxes.
