Charlie Shea grew up in Montpelier, Vermont. He was admitted to the bar in Vermont and the District of Columbia in 1955. After serving as an attorney with the United States Internal Revenue Service and then as the Vermont Commissioner of Taxes, Mr. Shea joined the firm in 1967.
