Bob Rushford was admitted to the Vermont bar in 1988. After serving as a law clerk to the Hon. Albert W. Coffrin, U.S. District Court Judge, District of Vermont, from 1988-1989, he practiced in a general practice firm which had a strong concentration in real estate and land use development law. He joined Gravel and Shea in 1996 and became a partner in 2000.

At Gravel and Shea, Mr. Rushford's practice has focused on real estate and land use development and he provides a full range of real estate services including title work, commercial property purchases, sales and leasing, subdivision and planned unit project development and permitting, and residential purchases and sales. Recent significant projects include the leasing and permitting of over sixty wireless antenna facilities for a major national wireless carrier; the purchase, permitting, development and sale of several residential development projects for some of Vermont's largest homebuilders, including the creation of condominium and planned community declarations for each project; the planning and development of a 151-unit timeshare condominium hotel project for a major ski area; the leasing, permitting and financing of Vermont's largest urban redevelopment project; and the purchase of high voltage electric utility line and easement corridors for one of Vermont's largest utilities.
