Gravel & Shea Receives Top Rankings in Chambers USA 2014

Gravel & Shea has once again been ranked as a leading law firm in Vermont by Chambers USA, an annual ranking of law firms and lawyers by areas of practice in each state. Gravel & Shea received a “Band 1” ranking, the highest possible, in Corporate/Commercial; Litigation: General Commercial and Real Estate. The firm also earned recognition as a leader in Vermont in Intellectual Property and Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use.

The firm’s Corporate/Commercial group was top-ranked, and Chambers notes they have “interesting and varied areas of focus such as EB-5 immigrant investments and renewable energy-focused corporate and transactional work.”

Also top-ranked, the firm’s Litigation group was described as a “highly regarded, deep bench with an excellent track record handling major, high-profile commercial disputes” as well as covering a “broad spectrum of expertise including antitrust, trust and estate litigation, bankruptcy matters, product liability controversies, professional malpractice and construction disputes.”

Receiving the highest ranking, the firm’s Real Estate group was described by Chambers as a having “a range of experience covering all real estate bases, taking projects from acquisition to disposition and occupancy” and clients agree they “have a high degree of confidence in working with them.”

The firm’s Intellectual Property group is known for its “strong litigation practice in domain name, copyright and patent disputes.” Chambers specifically recognized Andrew Manitsky as having “extensive knowledge of the technology industry, including experience of complex civil disputes relating to the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and the Electronic Communications Privacy Act.”
